President places wreaths at Bangabandhu’s portrait

Dhaka, Aug 18 (UNB) - President Zillur Rahman on Saturday placed wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi in the city on the occasion of National Mourning Day.

The President also offered prayer during his visit to the museum around 12 noon. Secretaries to the President were present.

Zillur Rahman could not pay tributes to the Father of the Nation on the National Mourning Day on August 15 as he was on a trip to Saudi Arabia then to attend the 4th Extraordinary Session of the Islamic Summit.

He returned home on Friday.
