President leaves for Saudi Arabia Sunday

Dhaka, Aug 11 (UNB) - President Zillur Rahman leaves here on Sunday night for Saudi Arabia at the invitation of King of Saudi Arabia Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud.

During his visit, President Zillur Rahman will attend the 4th Extra-ordinary Session of the Islamic Summit in Makkah Al-Mukarramah to be held on 14-15 August.

The President is scheduled to deliver a speech at the summit where heads of the OIC countries will take part and discuss the present situation and the problems of the Muslim Ummah.

President Zillur will also perform Umrah during his stay in the holy city of Makkah.

The President’s entourage includes his family members, secretaries and officials to his office. The President is expected to return home August 17.

Earlier, July 24, Saudi Ambassador to Bangladesh Dr Abdullah Bin Naser Al-Busairi handed over the royal invitation to President Zillur Rahman at a meeting at Bangabhaban.
