Businessman chopped to death in Natore

Natore, Aug 11 (UNB) - A young businessman was chopped to death by some miscreants at Lokmanpur village in Bagatipara upazila on Friday night.

The deceased was identified as Saidul Islam, 35, of the village.

Police said a gang of miscreants waylaid Saidul while he was returning home from a local market at about 10 pm and at one stage they chopped him indiscriminately, leaving him critically injured.

Local people rushed him to a local hospital. Later, he died on the way to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.    

Police recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for autopsy. A case was filed.
