Housewife killed in Gazipur
Gazipur, Aug 10 (UNB) - Police recovered the body of a housewife from her house at Bhararul village in Sadar upazila on Friday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Bithi, wife of Fagen Chandra Biswas of the village.
On information police recovered the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital for autopsy. They also arrested Fagen.
Victim’s family claimed that Fagen picked up a quarrel with Bithi over a trivial matter and at one stage he strangulated her to death. Later Fagen was trying to prove that she committed suicide, they alleged.
Police said they were yet to ascertain whether it was an incident of murder or suicide.
A case was filed in this connection.
