JS body for maintaining quality while purchasing rice

Dhaka, July 31 (UNB) – A parliamentary watchdog from a meeting on Tuesday recommended maintaining quality while purchasing rice.

Held at Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban with committee Chairman M Sayedul Haque in the chair, the meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Food and Disaster Management Ministry also recommended ensuring close monitoring of silos while stockpiling rice.

The committee discussed ‘Disaster Management Bill 2012’ at the meeting.

Committee members Food and Disaster Management Minister M Abdur Razzak, M Atiur Rahman, Narayan Chandra Chanda, Saleha Mosharraf, M Jafar Ali, M Mozahar Ali Pradhan, M Akram Hossain Chowdhury and Iqbalur Rahim attended in the meeting.
