News - Judge appoints temp guardian for Jackson children
LOS ANGELES, July 26 (AP/UNB) - The matriarch of the Jackson family says she is devastated by a judge's ruling to temporarily strip her guardianship of Michael Jackson's children while she is on "a short vacation" in Arizona.

Katherine Jackson said in a statement to ABC News Wednesday that there were "a lot of lies that been put out there" surrounding her family drama the last several days and that she planned to return to California to straighten them out.

Her reaction comes on the same day a Los Angeles judge appointed the son of Tito Jackson the temporary guardian after he expressed concerns that his grandmother, Katherine Jackson, wasn't being allowed to return home.

Jackson told ABC that she wasn't being held against her will.
