Two killed in Bogra road crash

Bogra, July 23 (UNB) – Two people were killed and 10 others injured as a bus plunged into a roadside ditch after hitting a tree in Nandigram upazila this (Monday) morning.

The deceased were identified as Samjal, 60, of Kuripakia village, and Ashraf Ali, 45, of Italy village in Singra upazila of Natore.

Police said the Bogra-bound bus of “Soma Enterprise” from Natore hit a roadside tree and fell into the ditch at about 7:30 am as its driver lost control over the steering, killing the duo on the spot and injuring others.

Relatives of the deceased took away the bodies before police reached the spot.

The injured were admitted to different local hospitals and clinics.

Police seized the bus.
