1 killed, three injured in Sylhet road accident

Sylhet, July 22 (UNB) – A head-on collision between a truck and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw instantly killed a housewife and injured three other people in South Surma upazila on Sunday.

Police said the accident took place at Badikona on Sylhet-Dhaka highway in Dakkhin Surma upazila at 1 pm.

The deceased Rehana Begum, 45, hailed from Boroigaon village of Kaliganj union of Bishwanath upazila.

The injured auto driver Sohel Ahmad, passenger Helal Mia and an unidentified woman — were admitted to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital, OC Abu Shama Iqbal of South Surma Police Station said.
