Missing youth found dead in Jhenidah

Jhenidah, July 22 (UNB) – The body of a youth was recovered at Kalaparia village in Harinakundu upazila on Sunday, three days after he mysteriously disappeared from his native Math Andulbaria village.

Police said, Shahidul Islam, 24, son of Yousuf Ali of Math Andulbaria village left his house on Friday and did not return home. He remained missing since then.

Kalaparia villagers found his body hanging from the branch of a tree on Sunday morning and informed police who recovered and sent it to Jhenidah Sadar Hospital for autopsy.

Abul Khayer, OC of Harinakundu thana, said the body bore a mark of strangulation. He said everything will be clear after postmortem.
