Top outlawed party leader held in Satkhira

Satkhira, July 21 (UNB) - Police arrested the regional commander of Purbo Banglar Communist Party (ML-Janojuddha) from Bawaldanga village in Sadar upazila early Saturday.

The arrestee was identified as Mozaffar Sana, a top leader of the outlawed party and son of Gaffar Sana of Dohar village in Tala upazila of the district.

As per information given by three outlaws who were arrested in Tala upazila early Thursday, police conducted a raid on the in-laws’ house of Mozaffar at about 2 am and arrested him.

Two bullets were also recovered from his possession.

Meanwhile, police produced outlawed party leader Bidyut Bachhar and his two accomplices before a court today with a five-day remand prayer for each after filing two cases against them.
