DSE, CSE stocks end higher at closing

Dhaka, July 18 (UNB) – Share prices at both the bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -– ended higher on Wednesday.

The DSE benchmark index, DGEN gained 155.52 points or 3.86 percent to close at 4183.32 points. Of the issues traded on the day, 255 advanced, 9 declined and only 4 remained unchanged.

The DGEN dipped on Sunday and Monday this week, after a gain of 33 points on Tuesday.

The top ten gainers of the day are Grameenphone, Bangladesh Submarine Cable, Beximco Limited, Jamuna Oil, Meghna Petroleum, Square Pharma, National Bank, La Farge Surma Cement, MI Cement, and Unique Hotels.

Shares worth Tk 204.26 crore were traded at the DSE on Wednesday.

The CSE key index, CSCX also gained 288.72 points to stand at 8027.07 points at the closing today. Of the issues traded, 180 advanced, 12 declined and 2 remained unchanged.
