Budget session of Parliament prorogued

Dhaka, July 8 (UNB) – The 13th session (budget session) of Parliament was prorogued on Sunday.

Speaker Abdul Hamid Advocate read out the President’s order of prorogation at about 8:44 pm.
 
The 13th session of Parliament began on May 27. There was a total of 29 working days in the session. Some 213 lawmakers spoke for 46 hours and 30 minutes taking part in the discussion on the budget for the 2012-13 fiscal.

Of the total 181 questions received for the Prime Minister’s question hour, Sheikh Hasina answered 68 questions.
 
Fifteen bills out of 31 placed in the House were passed in the session.
