Bagerhat, July 2 (UNB) - A motorcyclist was killed and another injured in a road accident at Madrasahghat on Khulna-Mawa highway in Mollahat upazila on Sunday night.

The deceased was identified as M Sohel Hossain, 30, son of Alamgir Hossain of Sadar upazila in Madaripur district.

Officer-in-charge of Mollahat Police Station ANM Khairul Anam said the motorcycle turned turtle on the road at about 8 pm while Sohel along with his friend Mamun, 29, was returning home from Khunla after attending a wedding party, leaving the duo injured.

They were rushed to Mollahat upazila health complex where attending doctors declared Sohel dead.

A case was filed in this connection.
