5 killed in Jessore road crash
Jessore, June 30 (UNB) - Five people were killed and five others injured as a sand-laden truck rammed a human hauler at Altaful Taltola on Keshabpur-Chuknagar road in Keshabpur upazila Saturday morning.
The deceased were identified as Arif, 35 , of Keshabpur upazila, Hafizur Rahmaan, 30, of Ramkrisnapur, Fazlu Akand ,65, of Khulna, Nowsher Ali, 60, and Jahangir Ali, 30.
Officer-in-charge of Keshabpur thana said the Chuknagar-bound truck from Keshabpur rammed the human hauler (locally known as Nosimon) at about 6:55 am, leaving five Nosimon passengers dead on the spot.
Among the injured, three were rushed to Keshabpur Upazila Health Complex while two others to Khulna 250-bed Hospital
Police recovered the bodies.
