Benapole (Jessore), June 30 (UNB) - A housewife allegedly committed suicide following a family feud at Jalalpur village in Monirampur upazila of Jessore on Friday night.

The deceased was identified as Tumpa Rani Ghosh, 25, wife of Sudhangsu Ghosh of the village.

Police quoting local people said Tumpa quarreled with her husband over a family affair at about 10pm. Later, she hanged herself from the ceiling fan in her bedroom at dead of night.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Jessore Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.

A UD case was filed.
