Dhaka, June 20 (UNB) – Industries Minister Dilip Barua on Wednesday said the government will take necessary actions if any body tries to manipulate the sugar market during the holy month of Ramadan.
He reiterated that sugar price will remain stable fully and Bangladesh Sugar and Food Industries Corporation (BSFIC) has already built up a stock of 1.70 lakh metric tones of sugar to control the market.
The Industries Minister was speaking as the chief guest at a discussion at the BCIC auditorium in the city arranged by Bangladesh Sugar Mills Sugarcane Farmers Federation. State Minister for Sports M Ahad Ali Sarkar was present as the special guest.
Federation President M Mozaharul Haque Prodhan MP, M Faridul Haque Khan MP, BSFIC chairman Mahmud-ul-Haque Bhuiyan, BCIC acting chairman Dipak Ranjan Dutta and Federation joint general secretary Shahjahan Ali also spoke at the function held with Federation advisor M Akram
