
Chittagong, June 14 (UNB) – A man was killed and five others were injured in a clash between two rival factions of Jubo League at West Gujra Chowdhury Haat in Raujan upazila on Wednesday night.
The deceased was identified as Saber Ahmed, 31, son of Monir Ahmed of the area. He was a local Juba League activist.
Police and witnesses said the two rival factions locked into an altercation at about 10pm over establishing supremacy in the area.
Later, they equipped with iron rods and sticks attacked each other, killing Saber on the spot and injuring five others.
The injured were admitted to local health complex and clinics.
