Pakistani held with 337 cartoons cigarette in Sylhet

Sylhet, June 14 (UNB) –A Pakistani citizen was arrested along with 337 cartons of Easy brand cigarette worth about Tk 2.5 lakh at Sylhet Osmani International Airport on Wednesday.

The arrestee was identified as Mohammad Jahid, 37, son of Mohammad Wahid and a resident of Karachi in Pakistan.

Police said customs officials arrested Jahid along with the foreign brand cigarettes while he arrived at the airport from Dubai.

Later he was handed over to Airport Police Station.

A case was filed.
