3 Shibir men held in Tangail

Tangail, June 11 (UNB) – Police arrested three activists of Islami Chhatra Shibir from the district town Monday morning.

The arrestees were: Kabir Hossain, Nur Mohammad, Nasir Uddin, also students of Tangail Alia Madrasha.

Tangail town unit Shibir president Sheikh Farid said police arrested the trio in front of the madrasha at around 6 am when they were preparing to go to the capital for attending the opposition’s mass rally.

Sadar thana officer-in-charge Nazrul Islam said they were arrested in a arson case during hartal.
