Dhaka, June 11 (UNB) – Opposition leader Khaleda Zia arrived at the venue of the 18-party’s mass rally in front of BNP’s Nayapaltan central office.

The BNP chairperson reached the venue around 4:08pm amid clapping and slogans by thousands of opposition activists.  

Khaleda Zia will announce the next course of action programmes from the rally being held as their June-10 deadline to restore the caretaker government system to hold the next general election went unheeded.

Opposition leader Khaleda Zia from a grand rally in the capital on March 12 gave the government the 3-month ultimatum to accept their demand for restoration of the annulled caretaker government system.

Nayapaltan and its adjoining areas have virtually turned into a human sea with thousands of opposition leaders and activists pouring in to press the home their demand for restoration of the caretaker government system.

Earlier, the rally began through recitation from the Holy Quran at about 3 pm.
