Housewife ‘commits suicide’ in city
Dhaka, June 9 (UNB) - A housewife allegedly committed suicide in the city’s Mirpur area on Saturday.
The victim was identified as Yasmin Akhter, 26, wife of garment employee Anwar Hossain of Block-2 of Mirpur-6.
A mother of six-year-old boy Jisan, Yasmin wanted to work at a garment factory which was opposed by Anwar. She had a tiff with her husband over the issue in the morning.
Later, in a fit of anger, she killed herself by hanging from the ventilator of their bathroom in the morning.
On information, police recovered the body at about 10:45 am and sent it to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
