
Dhaka, June 9 (UNB) - A young housewife was found hanging at her residence in the city’s Jatrabari area today (Saturday).
Police recovered the body of Rehana, 20, wife of Shamsul Haque. Hailing from Sonagazi upazila of Feni district, they were residing at house-171/1/C at South Jatrabari.
On information, sub-inspector Kawser Ali of Jatrabari Police Station recovered the body which was hanging from a ceiling fan at about 10:15 am and sent it to Mitford Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Victim’s family members alleged that Shamsul killed Rehana who had a two-year-old son, Sayem, and hanged the body to prove that she committed suicide.
Shamsul went into hiding just after the incident.
