No change in night temperature likely

Dhaka, June 8 (UNB) - Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely at a few places over Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Khulna and Dhaka divisions in next 24 hours till 6 pm tomorrow (Saturday).

Moderately heavy falls are also likely at places over Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions, Met office said.

Mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping over Khulna division and the regions of Rajshahi, Pabna, and Patuakhali and it may continue.

Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

The highest maximum temperature is likely to be 37-38 degree Celsius and lowest minimum temperature may be 21-22 degree Celsius.

The sun sets in the capital tomorrow at 6:45pm and rises on Sunday at 5:10am.

Country’s highest temperature 39.1 degree Celsius was recorded today at Jessore and lowest 21.0 degrees at Srimangal.
