Abahani, Usha KC maintain winning run in Club Cup Hockey
Dhaka, June 05 (UNB) – Abahani Limited and Usha KC maintained their winning run in the Walton Club Cup Hockey Tournament outplaying their rivals at the Maulana Bhashani Hockey Stadium here on Tuesday.
Abahani earned a convincing 6-1 goal victory over Ajax SC.
Hasan Jubair Niloy hit a hattrick scoring three goals in the 30th, 31st and 44th minutes, while Iqbal Nadir Prince, Khandakar Hasan Ahmed and Asdauzzaman Chandan netted one goal each for the winners who dominated the first half by 3-1 goals.
Rahat Sarwar scored the consolation goal for the losers in the 26th minute.
In the day’s another match, Usha KC trounced Wari Club by 11-0 goals at the same venue.
Moinul Islam Kaushik scored three, Mohammad Imran, Deen Islam and Rabbi Salehin netted two each while Ehsanullah Khan and Khurshedur Rahman netted one each for the winners, which dominated the first half 6-0.
