Comilla, June 3 (UNB) - At least four people were injured and 19 houses gutted in a fire at Sultanpur village in Deviddar upazila of the district early Sunday.

Fire Brigade sources said the fire that originated from electric short circuit at about 3:30 am burned down the houses, leaving four inmates injured.

The injured were identified as Abdus Salam,50, Nannu Sheikh,55, Mostafa,35 and Abdur Razzak,40. Among them, Abdus Salam was admitted to a local hospital.

Firefighters from Muradnagar fire station rushed in and doused the blaze after three hours of frantic efforts.
