Fire burns 5 shops in Bogra

Bogra, June 3 (UNB) - A devastating fire gutted five shops at Kagil Bazar in Gabtoli upazila of the district on Saturday noon.

Sources said the fire broke out in a cosmetics shop at noon and soon burned down valuables of four adjoining shops.

On information, fire fighters rushed to the spot and controlled fire.

However, the affected shop owners claimed that the extent of loss from the fire could go up to Tk 25 lakh.

Locals said rival group might set the fire following past enmity over extortion.

A clash ensued between two groups in the market following the fire incident that left five people injured.
