UGC for internationalising higher education

Dhaka, May 30 (UNB) - The University Grants Commission (UGC) on Wednesday approved the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) earlier signed between the UGC and the British Council Bangladesh aiming to internationalise higher education.
 
The approval came from the 126th meeting of the commission held with UGC Chairman Prof Dr AK Azad Chowdhury in the chair.
 
The meeting congratulated the UGC Chairman on being elected as the Chairman of Governing Body of South Asian University.
 
It also discussed continuing any course or programme, especially of LLB (two years), in private universities of the country as per the request of the Bar Council.
 
UGC members and Vice Chancellors of different universities were present at the meeting.
