Farmer’s body recovered in Natore

Natore, May 28 (UNB) - A farmer who went missing in Boraigram upazila on Saturday was found dead on Sunday.

Police recovered the body of Kamrul Islam, a resident of Bhabanipur village in the upazila, from a pulses field in the morning.

Police said locals spotted the body of Kamrul with his hands and legs tied with rope at the field and informed them.

Later, the law enforcers recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for autopsy.

Family sources said Kamrul went missing while returning home from nearby Bonpara Bazar on Saturday night.

Police said the farmer might have been strangulated to death. The reason behind the killing could not be known yet.

A case was filed.
