Indian Minister Salman to attend publication of “Bidrohi”

Dhaka, May 22 (UNB)-Indian Minister of Law and Justice and Minority Affairs Salman Khurshid will lead a delegation to the joint celebrations by Bangladesh and India of the 90th Anniversary of the publication of “Bidrohi” by Kazi Nazrul Islam.

The function will be held here on May 25-26. The delegation will include Dr. Bhola Singh and Chongshen Mongkosungkum Chang, Members of Parliament of the Lok Sabha.

A release of the Indian HC says Salman Khurshid will be the Guest of Honour for the two-day celebrations.

Similar celebrations would be held in Kolkata and Burdwan in India later this year.
The joint celebrations are in pursuance of the decision taken by the Prime Ministers of Bangladesh and India on September 6-7, 2011 in Dhaka.

The joint celebrations in Dhaka will include participation of eminent Indian artists and Nazrul literary experts including Dr. Badhon Chandra Sengupta, Prodip Ghosh (Poetry Recitation), Sushmita Goswami and Nabaroon Bhattacharjee (Nazrul Geeti).
