Firearms, bullets recovered in Dinajpur

Dinajpur, May 9 (UNB) - Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recovered two firearms and two bullets from frontier Katla village in Birampur upazila early Tuesday.

Havilder Hafiz of Battalion-40 of BGB said acting on a tip-off, they conducted a drive at the house of Jasimuddin at the village in the wee hours and recovered a pistol, an air gun and two rounds of bullet.

However, no one was arrested in this connection as Jasim fled the house sensing the presence of the border guards.

A case was filed in this connection.
