3 of a family to walk gallows in Gazipur
Gazipur, Mar 6 (UNB) – A court here on Tuesday sentenced a woman and her to sons to death for killing a man in 2003.
The convicts are- two brothers- Kajal Bhuiyan, Badal Bhuiyan and their mother Joynab Begum, wife of A Samad Bhuiyan of Koyer village in sadar upazila.
According to prosecution, Iqbal Hossain Bhuiyan, elder brother of Samad Bhuiyan of Koyer village, was killed when the convicts along with other people hit him with sharp weapon on April 2, 2003 following previous enmity. A murder case was filed.
After examining the records and witnesses Additional district and sessions Judge Moahmmad Jakir Hossain handed down the verdict.
The court acquitted three other accused as their guilt was not proved.
