Bandits loot judge court in Jamalpur

Jamalpur, Feb 14 (UNB) – Bandits looted cash and other valuables from the district judge court in the town on Monday night.

Police said a gang of robbers entered the court premises and made six night guards hostage at gun point and broke open the locks of 18 rooms.

Then they looted Tk 97,000 from malkhana.

They also tore fake notes of Tk 15,000 and looted seized heroin worth about Tk. 21 lakh from the malkhana and decamped with the booty.On information, police rushed in and rescued six guards, tied up their hands and legs, from a room.

Police detained six guards, a hotel boy and others for interrogation.
