New DU pro-VCs, treasurer join office

Dhaka, June 09 (UNB) - The newly appointed pro-vice chancellors and treasurer of Dhaka University (DU) officially joined their duty on Saturday morning. Joint pro-vice chancellors Professor Dr Nasrin Ahamed and Professor Dr Saheed Akhtar Hossain attended the Pro-VC`s office at Registrar Building to join their job while the newly-appointed treasurer Prof Kamal Uddin attended his office at the same building and joined his duty. The two joint pro-vice chancellors were appointed on June 6 following resignation of Pro-VC Prof Dr Dr Harunur Rashid while Prof Kamal Uddin replaced Prof Dr Mijanur Rahman who also resigned the same day. Professor Dr Nasrin Ahamed was the dean of Earth and Environment Science faculty and Professor Dr. Saheed Akhtar Hossain was dean of Biology while Prof. Dr. Kamal Uddin was the professor of Marketing Department before their new appointment on June 6.
